Jesus is clear, the old testament IS valid. If modern Christians thinks otherwise, only uses a few part of the old testament (like the Ten Commandments) and rejects the rest, they go against both the LORD, Jesus and me. You do not want this trinity against you!

Isaiah 1:11-20 speaks of the fact that God is tired of burnt offerings and speaks of Jesus 700+ years before his birth. Jesus would be the perfect spotless sacrifice that would pay for all sin and reconcile man with him.

He actually is quoting the bible. He is making a point that obviously the bible is made by man. I’m sure a being with as much perfection would have half a mind not to contradict himself, don’t you think?

well, you may seem you have a right verdict. but you dont. What seems so harsh to you today. was JUSTICE to them who lived in the cultures of that time. It was a clear commandment of the LORD to not work on the sabbath. The man did. there was consequences. there must be order. if he went by, then others would do so. As 4 the bald guy. That was the prophet Elisha. He is much more than a common Chirstian. You do not mock the man of God. A similiar story happened 2 my pastors father. want to know?

unless you acknowledge that you have sinned against God, and are worthy of death, under the law, the Lord Jesus Christ is of no use to you, you are quite comfortable in your sin. BUT like Christ said, “I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance”
unless you realize your sick you would not go to the doctor, right. the doctor can only help you IF you come to him.

yes you are right that RELIGION gives people some comfort. but that comfort is only superficial as the worlds religions are man made ideas of how they can, in their own self righteousness, attain an equality with god. most people consider christianity a religion, but its not. to be a follower of Christ one needs to understand who he is and why he came.

I do agree that religion gives you comfort, but its the same as when you are a child you believe your father is able to protect your family from anything. But its not true, and I know that there is no such thing as a god. I can’t take comfort in a benevolent force if I know that it doesn’t exist.

what happens when propblems arise and heaven forbid you and your spouse split up. then your son or daughter gets really upset with a descission that is made and walks out disowning you and your spouse, I have seen it happen. your world comes crashing down. the things of this world are temperary, our life is but a vapor. when I put my faith in Christ its because of His promise to me in His Word. though the world should forsake me, yet will I serve Him.

I was born into this world in the same state that everyone else is. But the more I look around I began to realize that nothing in this world lasts. everything that you think you own can be taken away in a split second. you come into this world with nothing and you can be sure you will take nothing with you when you leave. so if you want the world and all its temporary pleasures. help your self. He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot loose.

This is no argument. The fact that something is complex doesn’t mean that it has to be designed by a deity. If that would be the case, it would be perfect. It isn’t. The human body is defective, it is prone to disease. So either your god is imperfect, or he doesn’t exist at all. I pick the last, since there’s no evidence at all that he exists anyway.

@Kynos1 a computer needs a designer, a car needs a designer, a swiss watch needs a designer, but a human body, as COMPLEX as it is, this is capable of EVOLVING on its own with no master designer, then why do we have medical specialists who spend their ENTIRE lives studding it and they still dont know the inner most complexities of its workings. The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God. PRAISE GOD I am fearfully and wonderfully MADE.
